When it comes to planning your wedding, you want to make sure that every little detail is just right – but so many people overlook the fact that their wedding stationery is a great way to tie the whole wedding theme/concept together. Luckily, I’ve been keeping my finger on the pulse of wedding stationery trends, and these are my current top ten. Which one takes your fancy?
1. Envelope Liners with character
My first wedding stationery trend for 2017 is envelope liners with character. Having your envelope lined is a gorgeous way to make the opening experience for your guests really special.
My second wedding stationery trend for 2017 is calligraphy. Get that wonderful touch of luxury by having your stationery handwritten by a calligrapher.
3. Gold Foil stamping
My third wedding stationery trend for 2017 is gold foil Gold foil is definitely one trend I’m loving. It gives your stationery the feeling of luxury with just a hint of bling
Sparkle and Glitter are my fourth wedding stationery trend for 2017. There’s no better way to catch someone’s eye than by having a little bling!
This is one of my favorite wedding stationery trends. It used to be that only one luxury printing method was used on invitations. Now we are seeing combinations luxury printing methods for example Letterpress and Foil or Thermography and Embossing. The options are endless to achieve that incredible look.
Make your envelope and invitation stand out by using popping geometric designs or graphics
7. Earthy Colors
If you’re having a fall or winter wedding, make use of the beautiful tree colors and include earthy tones in your design.
Flowers have always been linked to weddings but now we are seeing more bold and beautiful floral designs on wedding stationery that go beyond the regular. The floral wedding stationery trends are getting bolder and brighter every year and I’m not complaining 🙂
A great way to make everything in your wedding feel and look like you really put some thought into it is by branding your wedding. One of the easiest ways to do this is by making your stationery all tie in together from save the dates to invitations, programs, menu cards, table numbers, place cards, and even the final thank you cards afterwards.
This is certainly one of my favorite trends. There’s no better way to say artistic and inspiring than to use watercolor on your invitations – so subtle, yet so beautiful.
